HOW IT WORKS

From uncertainty to insight.

Three simple steps to take a closer look.

01

Choose an image, video, or audio file. A direct link works too.

02

Look for the signals

Submit your media to the connected detection service for analysis.

03

See the bigger picture

Review the confidence score and explanation, then verify the source.

More context. Better decisions.

Explore the signals that help you understand digital content.

Image detection

Check photographs, illustrations, and digital artwork for signs of AI generation.

Video detection

Look closer at synthetic footage and manipulated videos.

Audio detection

Explore potential signs of synthetic speech and AI-created audio.

Confidence, with context

Read the assessment alongside an explanation, rather than relying on a number alone.

File or link

Drag in a file from your device or paste a direct media link to get started.

Source clues

Review the possible generator when your detection provider can identify it.

A HEALTHY DOSE OF CURIOSITY

Seeing is only the beginning.

A profile photo. A surprising headline. A familiar voice. When something feels off, pause, check the source, and consider the evidence before sharing.

FAQ

A few things worth knowing

A clearer picture of what AI detection can — and cannot — tell you.

1

What does SynthClue do?

It provides one place to submit images, videos, and audio to an AI detection service and review its assessment.

2

Which formats can I upload?

Images: JPG, PNG, WebP. Videos: MP4, MOV, WebM. Audio: MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG. Each file can be up to 20 MB.

3

Is a detection result definitive?

No. Detection can produce false positives and false negatives. Use the result together with the original source and other evidence.

4

Can I check a media link?

Yes. Paste a direct HTTP or HTTPS link into the detector. The connected provider must support that format and be able to access the media.

5

When is my file uploaded?

Previewing a selected file happens on your device. Submission only starts when you click Check for AI.

6

Why is detection unavailable?

A detection provider needs to be connected before live analysis is available. The app does not invent scores when a service is unavailable.

Before you share it, check it.

Make a more informed call about the content in front of you.
